Abstract

A process for the production of methanol and/or dimethyl ether and/or other xygenates thereof, a H -rich and a CO -rich stream and an integrated plant for the production in said process of methanol and/or dimethyl ether and/or other oxygenates thereof, a H -rich and a CO -rich stream. The use of H formed by a shift reaction in a shift reactor for the reduction of CO and CO in a methanol synthesis reactor is disclosed.
