Abstract
A vertical mount muffler ( ) has an external water trap ( ) in an exhaust pipe ( ) and drains water from a point between the muffler housing upper outlet ( ) and the terminal end ( ) of the exhaust pipe. The water trap ( ) is laterally adjacent to the muffler housing ( ) and below the housing upper outlet ( ) and traps and drains water entering the exhaust pipe ( ) from the terminal end ( ).
