Abstract
The present invention provides an automated guided vehicle system that can transfer an article between an automated guided vehicle and an automatic warehouse on the basis of easy control. In an automated guided vehicle system the vehicle A running on a running path is provided with a roller conveyor used to transfer an article. Further, automatic warehouses are each provided with an article storage and retrieval roller conveyor The transfer roller conveyor which runs with the vehicle A, and the storage and retrieval roller conveyor are arranged in series and in proximity to each other in a carrying direction. An article can be transferred between the vehicle A and the automatic warehouse The bottom surface of the article is formed as planar portions at its laterally opposite ends in the carrying direction. The transfer roller conveyor and storage and retrieval roller conveyor which carry the article are each provided with rows of rollers provided in the carrying direction. Planar portions at the opposite ends of each conveyor can be supported by the pair of roller rows
