Abstract
An image forming device includes an image forming element moving past an image forming station in which a toner is deposited on the surface of the image forming element, the image forming element having at least one electrode extending over a predetermined surface area of the image forming element. The image device also includes an impedance/capacitance measuring circuit measuring the amount of toner deposited on the predetermined surface area on the basis of a resulting change in the impedance/capacitance of the electrode.
