Abstract
Total organic carbon in an aqueous or gaseous sample is measured by admitting the sample and an oxidant gas to a cell transparent to plasma, establishing a relatively low energy plasma in the cell, and measuring the CO thus produced using FTIR, NDIR, or conductivity-based techniques.
