Abstract

An electrodynamic direct linear drive ( ) has a coil system ( ) with a plurality of coaxially sequentially following drive coils ( ). In the interior or on the external periphery of the coil system ( ) a magnet system ( ) is arranged, which is designed in the form of a component of an output part ( ) able to be moved in relation to the coil system ( ). On the opposite side of the magnet system ( ) a return circuit means ( ) is arranged internally or externally of the coil system ( ). In order to achieve a high energy density axially adjacent drive coils ( ) contact each other directly. Furthermore a method for the production of the coil system ( ) is provided.
