Abstract
Transaction Capabilities Application Part (TCAP) information from an Signaling System 7 (SS7) network ( ) is provided, in response to an original SIP-compatible request by an SIP entity ( ) in an SIP network ( ), to the SIP network where the TCAP information is then used to facilitate call setup and routing of the call.
