Abstract
Auxiliary sensors and are disposed on exterior and interior side surfaces and of a transom . The sensors and have detection areas A , A , B and B which extend through the doorway and which cross each other in a space vertically above a track . While detection signals are produced by both auxiliary sensors and , the door is kept open. If detection signals are produced from only one of the auxiliary sensors and uninterruptedly for a predetermined time, the door closing action is allowed to start.
