Abstract
A method and a briquetting press for briquetting metal chips wherein stable briquettes/pressed components are produced. The actual length (L ) of the pressed component is obtained by applying pressure (P /P ) using at least one pressing ram ( ) and measuring the length with a measuring device ( ). The measured value is compared to a desired nominal value (L ) and a difference value (&Dgr;) is subsequently determined.
