Abstract
The aim of the invention is to provide a steering column lock with improved break-up safety. To this end, a spring-loaded locking pin ( ) is integrated into the peripheral cam ( ), said locking pin being co-rotated when a rotor ( ) pertaining to the steering column lock is rotated. In the test position ( ) of the locking pin ( ), the pin is aligned with a locking recess ( ) in the housing ( ) while in a working position of the motor ( ) that is obtained by access authorization means, it is not. Normally, the locking pin ( ) is inactive since it is maintained in a retracted position by a spring-loaded ( ) feeler ( ). When the rotor ( ) is missing, the feeler ( ), due to its spring load ( ), releases the locking pin ( ). If in this case the rotor ( ) is in the rest position, the locking pin ( ) engages in the locking recess ( ) of the housing ( ) and blocks rotation. In a working position of the rotor ( ), rotation is not blocked, thereby allowing authorized persons disposing of the access authorization means to mount or dismount the rotor ( ).
