Abstract
An expansion valve comprises a housing having refrigerant paths and a cassette unit . The cassette unit comprises a flange and a tube member formed integrally thereto. An adjustment plate member is mounted to the small-diameter end of the tube member having steps, the plate member having an external thread formed thereto. A bottom portion of the inner bore of the housing for mounting the cassette is provided with an internal thread . A head portion of the lid member of the cassette unit has a hexagonal shape, which enables the cassette unit to be screwed onto the housing using a tool such as a wrench.
