Abstract

With the embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display can be produced at a low cost, which employs the COG technology, saves installation space, mounts LSIs, and, after the LSIs are mounted, can visibly check and inspect the mounted state thereof (that is, electrically connected states thereof) and lighting of the image displaying portion. The liquid crystal display is provided with a liquid crystal displaying portion in which a surface glass substrate having an electrode secured therein and a rear glass substrate having a transparent electrode opposite thereto provided therein are overlapped so that both of the substrates and are opposed to each other, and liquid crystal is sealed in pixel areas between the substrates and ; and an FPC that is provided with a circuit substrate portion including a LSI which is incorporated on the surface of the glass substrate having a transparent conductive electrode provided therein and is connected electrically to the electrodes, and electrically connects respective electrodes of the liquid crystal displaying portion and circuit substrate portion , wherein the FPC is folded over to overlap the liquid crystal displaying portion and the circuit substrate portion
