Abstract
A liquid crystal device comprising a pair of substrates and which are bonded together by a sealing material , and a plurality of electrodes and which are formed on the inside surfaces of these substrates. The electrodes have wiring lines and which pass through the sealing material and extend to a substrate projecting part , and dummy patterns which pass through the sealing material at the side opposite to the wiring lines and ; dummy patterns are formed with a width which is smaller than the width of the electrodes inside the region surrounded by the sealing material ; preferably, they are formed with the same width as the wiring lines
