Abstract
The present invention is a system combining motion capture technology and a motion platform with runtime interaction in a real-time feedback loop to provide a physical and virtual environment that has many applications, particularly in the rehabilitation area. The operator and user have runtime control of the system, and the data from the platform and the capture system are processed faster than real-time to generates new data sets which are then re-introduced into the system. A virtual reality environment is introduced and seamlessly interacts with the motion capture process and the motion platform operations to immerse the user in the dynamic physical and virtual environ.
