Abstract

A clamp ( ) for attaching a vibration damper to an energized suspended conductor ( ) includes a base ( ) having a first clamp member ( ) with first and second extension sections ( ). The clamp ( ) further includes a second clamp member ( ) positioned between the extension sections ( ), and an eyebolt ( ) for securing the second clamp member ( ), to the first clamp member ( ). The extension sections ( ) continuously abut the second clamp member ( ) to prevent its rotation about the eyebolt ( ). During installation, the eyebolt ( ) is captured by a hook member ( ) of shotgun stick ( ) and a single lineman secures the vibration damper to the conductor ( ).
