Abstract

An image receiving sheet, in which the received image is further transferable to a final recording medium is disclosed, comprising a support having thereon a heat-softening layer, an interlayer and an image receiving layer, wherein the interlayer has a surface roughness (R ) of 0.05 to 5 &mgr;m and the image receiving layer has a surface roughness (R ) of 0.01 to 0.4 &mgr;m, and the surface roughness (R ) of the interlayer being greater than that of the image receiving layer. An imaging process by use of the image receiving sheet is also disclosed.
