Abstract

The present vehicle seat has a framework , a plurality of zigzag springs attached between side frame member of the framework , and a height control mechanism moving the framework up and down relative to a vehicle body. The spring tip end of each of the springs is arranged at a position adjacent to the center line which vertically divides the side member , so that the distance between the spring tip end and the center line is shorter than the distance between the spring tip end and the upper edge of the side member . Arms and an elongated link of the height control mechanism are arranged outside the side member
