Abstract

A promoter having a higher activity than that of an &agr;-amylase promoter of a microorganism of the genus Bacillus can be provided by introducing at least one restriction site sequence in the vicinity of the 3′ end of the promoter of the &agr;-amylase derived from the microorganism of the genus Bacillus.
