Abstract
A display unit is provided wherein a serial interface adapter ( ) is provided between a PC ( ) and a CPU ( ) provided within the display unit and which is capable of performing mutual conversion between communication information compliant with interface specifications of the PC ( ) and a display. The display unit is capable of communicating with various computers through the serial interface adapter ( ). Further, the serial interface adapter ( ) is removably provided and placed in a front panel of the display. The serial interface adapter ( ) takes such a configuration as to be easily replaced by another according to the interface specifications of the PC.
