Abstract

A screw actuator comprises a housing ( ), a nut (A) and a screw ( ) one of which is axially fixed with respect to the housing and the other of which is axially displaceable with respect to the housing for moving an actuating head, as well as a motor ( ) which comprises a stator ( ) connected to the housing, and a rotor ( ). The rotor ( ) of the motor is supported rotatably on a sleeve ( ), said sleeve has an inwardly directed flange ( ), which carries an excentric hub ( ). The excentric hub ( ) rotatably supports a gear wheel ( ) through bearing ( ), the outer teeth of which gear wheel ( ) engage the inwardly directed teeth of the ring gear ( ). The ring gear ( ) is driving screw ( ) which is rotatably supported in the housing ( ). The nut ( ) of the screw mechanism ( ) is slidably, but not rotatably with respect to the housing. Through the screwthreads ( ) and balls ( ), the rotary motion of the screw ( ) is converted into a linear motion of the nut ( ), which is contained in a cylinder space ( ) in the housing ( ).
