Abstract

An air conditioning system for a vehicle including an integral valve block ( ) having a liquid line bore ( ) extending therethrough and a suction line bore ( ) extending therethrough with a transverse by-pass passage ( ). The by-pass check valve ( ) of the first system of FIGS. and allows only one-way fluid flow through the by-pass passage ( ) from the suction fluid line ( ) to the liquid fluid line ( ), whereas the by-pass check valve ( ) of the second system of FIGS. and allows only one-way fluid flow through the by-pass passage ( ) from the liquid fluid line ( ) to the suction fluid line ( ).
