Abstract
An air-driven dental instrument ( ) includes a replaceable vibrator module ( ) detachably accommodated in an axial lodgment defined by an elongated outer casing ( ) comprised of a frontal cap ( A) and a main body ( A) coupled with each other. When the cap ( A) is coupled, the module ( ) is axially positioned against the cap ( A) by a positioning sleeve ( A) and is rotationally locked against the sleeve ( A) by a hexagonal formation ( ) engaging into cutouts ( ) formed on a housing ( ). When the cap ( A) is disconnected from the main body ( A), the module ( ) is retained by the housing ( ) but is partly exposed therefrom. This permits a user to grip the module to thereby facilitate replacement of the module ( ).
