Abstract
The invention relates to a reflecting plate for a reflection type liquid crystal display device capable of reproducing paper whiteness, a production process thereof, and a reflection type liquid crystal display device making use of the reflecting plate. The light reflecting plate comprises a substrate, a single-layer powder coating provided on the substrate by laying powder particles in a state of a monoparticle layer on the substrate to fix them, and a thin metal film laminated directly or via a primer coating on the individual particles of the single-layer powder coating. It is produced by successively performing the steps of providing a binder layer having tackiness on a substrate, laying powder particles in a state of a monoparticle layer on the binder layer having tackiness to fix them, and laminating a thin metal film on the single-layer powder coating formed in the late step.
