Abstract

Methods and systems are provided for a vessel or pipeline closure. A closure includes a hub fixedly and sealingly secured to the vessel, and a cap for threaded engagement with the hub . An anchor may be fixedly secured to the hub and a tightening pulling stop and a loosening pulling stop each may be fixedly secured to the cap . A connector body may be engaged with the anchor , and has a through bore to accommodate a threaded rod . A flexible, elongate member may be engaged at one end to the threaded rod , and selectively engaged with one of the pulling stops or . A threaded collar advances the threaded rod axially, thereby rotating the cap relative to the hub
