Abstract

A position of an inner surface of a panel ( ) is measured with the panel being held, and a position of a main surface of a color selection electrode ( ) is measured with a color selection electrode frame ( ) being held, so that the measured positional data provide a measured value corresponding to a spacing between the panel inner surface and the main surface of the color selection electrode. In a state that the engaging holes of the supporting members are engaged with dummy pins ( ) arranged in a predetermined positional relationship to the panel pins ( ) on the condition that the panel is held, the position of the main surface of the color selection electrode is adjusted with respect to engaging holes on the basis of the predetermined positional relationship and the measured value, and supporting members are fixed by welding to the color selection electrode frame.
