A shield cleaning system, operating solely by spraying with washing fluid, for shields ( ) of an automobile light has a plurality of washing nozzles ( ) which are arranged on a washing arm ( ) pivotable about a pivot axis ( ) and which are located opposite and at a short distance from the shield ( ) and together spray a part region of the shield ( ) with washing fluid.
