Abstract
A DVI connector ( ) comprises an insulative housing ( ), a digital terminal module ( ) and an analogue terminal module ( ) inserted into the housing, a grounding shield ( ) enclosing the housing. The insulative housing having a base portion, a mating portion extending forwardly from a front face of the base portion, a mounting portion extending rearwardly from a rear face of the base portion, a pair of steps ( ) formed at opposite lateral ends of the base portion, a pair of the arms ( ) formed at opposite lateral ends of the mounting portion. Top surfaces ( ) of the arms and upper surfaces ( ) of the steps are located at a same level, all below a top surface of the base portion. The top surface and the upper surface are used for abutting against a bottom face of a PCB when the connector is mounted to the PCB.
