Abstract

A plurality of output destinations such as a mail server and a printer are connected via a network, and image formats or resolutions are set as image scanning parameters for each output destination. A parameter that is common to each of the output destinations is selected from the set parameters, an image is read in accordance with the parameter selected and the read image data is output to each of the output destinations via the network.
