Abstract

This invention relates to a use of a fermented (L.) extract prepared by fermenting an aqueous (L.) extract with at least one lactic acid bacteria together with at least one yeast, in enhancing Natural Killer (NK) cell activity. In particular, the fermented (L.) extract can be used in preventing and/or treating a disease in which NK cell activation is implicated in a subject, such as cancer, infectious diseases and modulating the immune system.
