Abstract
To provide an optical disk recording apparatus capable of signal recording onto a disk using a laser emitted from an optical pick-up. Signals temporarily stored in the buffer RAM ( ) are read, and recorded onto a disk ( ). When the amount of signal data in the buffer RAM ( ) decreases below a predetermined amount as signals are read therefrom while the read signals are recorded onto the disk ( ), the signal recording onto the disk ( ) is suspended. When the amount of signal data in the buffer RAM ( ) increases to the predetermined amount, the signal recording onto the disk ( ) is resumed. The number of occurrences of signal recording suspension and resumption due to the shortage of signals in the buffer RAM ( ) is counted.
