Abstract

A phosphor represented by the formula (1−x)CaO.EU(O).yMgO.nSiO , wherein x, y and n represent number of moles, respectively, provides increased initial luminous intensity and exhibits superior sustainability of luminous intensity over long periods of use in a fluorescent lamp including the above phosphor.
