Abstract

A separator for liquid, in particular for removing oil from crankcase gases, having a cover ( ) into which a mount ( ) for a cylindrical separating cartridge ( ) is incorporated. The separating cartridge is composed, for example, of a non-woven separating material ( ) wound around a support body ( ) having end plates ( ) on the end faces ( ) of the support body. The end plates ( ) may be composed, for example, of a two-component synthetic resin material. This results in a stable component which can be sealed utilizing the elasticity of the end plate ( ) when pushed into the mount ( ). This results in a cost effective exchangeable part in which several seals are saved in the complete structural component and yields a structural unit having increased economic effectiveness.
