Abstract

The invention relates to a method, a tool and a punch ( ) for joining a sunken punch to one or more metal plates ( ). According to said method, in a single step, the plate or plates are deep-drawn into a deep-draw opening ( ) of a female mould or then possibly crushed so that the displaced material fixes and joins the punch ( ) to the plate or plates in a positive fit. The punch ( ) may present further possibilities for engagement for creating a connection to other components.
