Abstract

An electrical machine with a rotor ( ), in particular a claw pole rotor, is proposed. The rotor ( ) has an exciter system of electrically excited individual poles in the rotor ( ), in the form of electromagnetically excited poles ( ) and counterpart poles ( ). A pole gap closure ( ) is placed between the poles ( ) and counterpart poles ( ), which alternate on the circumference of the rotor ( ), and at least partly fills the open spaces. The pole gap closure ( ) is characterized in that it is braced by at least one of its axial end regions ( ), via projections ( ), on pole roots ( ).
