Abstract
A braking device comprising a master cylinder ( ), a primary piston ( ), a manual control member ( ), a booster ( ) coupled to the manual control member ( ) and an emergency assist valve (VA). The emergency assist valve comprising a reaction piston ( ) through which there passes a ratio control (T) having a head ( ) situated in a chamber ( ) lying between the reaction piston ( ) and a bushing ( ) located further forward in a bore ( ) in the primary piston. The bushing ( ) has a bore ( ) in which there can slide a rapid piston ( ), the rear end ( ) of which forms, with the head ( ) of the ratio control, a valve (C). The valve (C) is capable of closing the inlet to a passage ( ) in the rapid piston against the action of a spring ( ). The braking device comprises a means ( ) for preventing a sharp retreat of the reaction piston ( ) when the manual control member ( ) is released after slow braking.
