Abstract
A surface-alloyed cylindrical, partly cylindrical or hollow cylindrical component consists of an aluminium matrix casting alloy ( ) and a precipitation area ( ) extending as far as the surface of the component ( ) and consisting of an aluminium base alloy with precipitated hard phases.
