Abstract
The handle device for a cooking utensil comprises a grip ( ) formed by a plate ( ) sandwiched between two strips ( ), with a portion ( ) of the plate ( ) at its front end being terminated by a nose ( ) and with a locking/unlocking device ( ) being slidably mounted on the plate ( ) and urged towards the nose ( ) by resilient means ( ). The locking/unlocking device ( ) comprises a control pushbutton ( ) placed at the front end of the grip ( ) above the plate portion ( ) and a latch ( ) connected to the pushbutton ( ) by a slider ( ) placed in the front portion of the grip ( ). This disposition of the pushbutton ( ) at the front end of the grip ( ) avoids accidental unlocking while the cooking utensil is in use.
