Abstract
An electric motor utilizing permanent magnets, wherein the permanent magnets produce a flux circuit in a first direction and shunt elements whereby the magnets and shunt elements rotate relative to each other wherein the shunt elements sequentially interrupt the magnet flux circuit to minimize generated flux circuits tending to rotate the motor in a direction opposite to the primary direction of motor rotation.
