Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for conditioning a soil or rock sample polluted by hydrocarbons. It also allows conditioning of pure polluting products. The device comprises a receptacle ( ) containing a soil or rock sample ( ), and an adsorbent material ( ) for adsorbing hydrocarbons or derivatives. The soil, rock or pollutant sample is preferably surrounded by two adsorbent layers. The invention also relates to a method of analysis by pyrolysis of a soil or rock sample polluted by hydrocarbons wherein the device according to the invention is used.
