Abstract

During the process of transporting an electronic component ( ) to a substrate ( ) after a suction nozzle ( ) has picked up the component ( ), the component ( ) being supplied from a component supply unit ( ), the amount of offset of the component ( ) with respect to the suction nozzle ( ) is calculated. The feasibility of mounting the component ( ) held by the suction nozzle ( ) onto the substrate ( ) without hindrance is determined from the amount of offset. If the result of the determination is positive, the component ( ) is mounted onto the substrate ( ).
