Abstract
A battery connector ( ) has an insulative housing ( ), an elongate insulative insert ( ) and a plurality of terminals ( ) insert molded with the insert. The housing defines a plurality of passageways ( ) receiving corresponding terminals and a bottom opening ( ) transecting the passageways. The insert has a body portion ( ) received in the opening and lock portions ( ) formed on opposite ends of the body portion engaging with the housing. Each terminal has a contacting portion ( ), a connection portion ( ), a mounting portion ( ) and two spring portions ( ). The mounting portion forms a bulge ( ) thereon. One of the spring portions is shaped generally having a profile of three-fourth circle.
