Abstract
An excipient comprising trehalose having a purity of 99.0% or more, a proportion of particles of 75 &mgr;m or more of 2 to 90 wt %, an average particle size of 10 to 250 &mgr;m, an apparent specific volume of 1.5 to 3.5 ml/g, and a whiteness of 90% or more.
