Abstract
An ink jet apparatus which is easy to change parameters of a driving signal to be applied to an ink jet head depending on desired ink drop volume is provided. In steps S , S , S and S , reference voltage es, reference frequency fs and waveform parameter are modified. Based on these modified parameters, the reference volume cs modified in step S is compared in step S with unit volume ci inputted in step S . The modification of the reference parameters and the reference volume cs, and comparison between the reference volume cs and the unit volume ci are repeated till a difference is equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold. The respective reference parameters when the difference is equal to or lower than the predetermined threshold are determined as the parameters of the driving signal.
