Abstract
A convergence device for assembly an LCD imaging device to a fixed housing . The convergence device has a frame with a plurality of retention arms protruding therefrom. Each of the retention arms has a retention barb for hooking behind a retention land on the imaging device . The imaging device has a retainer with a plurality of preload flexures for providing some outward pressure on the frame of the convergence device . After the imaging device is positioned on the fixed housing , an adhesive is applied to a housing adhesive gap and to a plurality of imager fixing adhesive gaps to hold the convergence device in place relative to the fixed housing and further to hold the imaging device in place relative to the convergence device
