Abstract

A phosphor without using cadmium having excellent luminous characteristic which emits a light in the visible region. The phosphor is prepared by mixing 1% of B O powder and 10% of In O with CaS:Eu, Ce phosphor to prepare a mixture to which is added vehicle containing an organic binder to form paste. The vacuum fluorescent display using the phosphor exhibits lifetime performance and initial luminance superior to the fluorescent display in which a phosphor without using cadmium is applied.
