Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for the polymerization of olefins using catalyst components and catalysts obtained therefrom comprising Ti, Mg, halogen and an electron donor compound selected from heteroatoms containing esters of malonic acids. The catalysts are particularly suitable for the sterospecific polymermerization of olefins having high isotactic index expressed in terms of high xylene insolubility.
