Abstract
A method for stopping and restarting an automatic machine ( ) for wrapping products ( ), in particular rolls of toilet or kitchen paper, in a collective pack ( ) using a packaging film ( ) unwound from a first reel ( ). The method comprises the following automatic sequence of steps: reducing the speed of the machine ( ); and stopping the feeding of the products ( ) and of the film ( ) at suitably synchronized intervals from each other relative to the processing of the products ( ). The method subsequently comprising the steps of: substituting the first reel ( ) of the film ( ) with a second reel ( ); loading the film ( ) on the second reel into feed means ( ). Restarting the machine ( ) at reduced speed and thereby automatically activating the following sequence of steps: unwinding and positionally centering the film ( ); and restarting the feeding of the products ( ) and of the film ( ) at suitably synchronized intervals from each other relative to the products.
