Abstract
The present invention relates to a structure of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus including a flexible substrate for transmission and reception of signals, and provides a structure of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus capable of preventing deterioration of the transmission characteristic, without increasing the cost, by suppressing the capacitance generated between the signal lines and the shield layer. The magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus according to the present invention includes: a flexible substrate on which a plurality of signal lines for transmitting and receiving signals from and to external circuits and grand lines are formed and a shield layer formed to face the signal lines and said grand lines , wherein areas of the portion of the shield layer covering each pair of signal lines among the plurality of signal lines are different from one another.
