Abstract
The present invention refers to a process for stabilizing LAA in an aqueous medium, which includes the step of contacting the LAA with at least one-compound capable of forming hydrogen bridges with the LAA. In another aspect, the invention relates to a stable aqueous LAA composition which includes, in addition to the ascorbic acid, at least one compound which is linked to the LAA by hydrogen bridges, and to a process for preparing it. The present invention further relates to an emulsion including, in its aqueous phase, at least one compound linked to levogyre ascorbic acid (LAA) by hydrogen bridges. Further according to the present invention a vitamin product is provided, in which a stable LAA composition as described above is contained in organic envelopes which enable a gradual and prolonged release of the LAA into the organism. The vitamin product may further include a compound capable of stimulating the metabolism of the fibroblasts. The present invention further relates to a method for cosmetic, therapeutical or nutritional treatment, which includes the administration of a composition as described above.
