Abstract

An electrical connector assembly ( ) includes an insulative main housing ( ), a contact module ( ), a daughter printed circuit board (PCB) ( ) carrying a plurality of signal conditioning components ( ) and a shield ( ). The main housing defines a cavity ( ) for receiving the contact module. The contact module includes a plurality of conductive terminals ( ) electrically connecting with the daughter PCB. The daughter PCB includes a pair of contact pads ( ) formed on opposite faces thereof. The shield defines a chamber ( ) substantially enclosing the main housing and the daughter PCB therein. The shield includes two pairs of contacting legs ( ) projecting into the chamber. Each pair of contacting legs clamp the daughter PCB therebetween and electrically connect connecting with corresponding contact pads of the daughter PCB.
